UNCU believe that joining a church is crucially important for Christians for receiving spiritual guidance to help us grow in our faith and be supported in our Christian walk. It's important to note that CU isn't a church, and the only reason we exist is to get the message of Jesus out on campus in a way that churches can't!
Newcastle is blessed with many brilliant churches that have good, solid teaching, worship to suit all tastes, and many have workers specifically for students. Although students often have a very good church back home, it is still so important to join one in Newcastle where you’ll be living 'on & off' for the next three or more years.
At the start of the academic year UNCU run Church Search, which aims to introduce people to some local churches so they can find somewhere to call home but we're also happy to help people find a church throughout the rest of the year too.
Although Church Search has finished for this year, you can still get in touch with the Student Contact listed in the booklet if you wish to visit the Church, or just pop along! We're sure they'd be glad to meet you
Please download the church search booklet to find more guidance on finding a church and find a list of churches that we recommend.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Vice-President, Suse
